We all seem to be rushing to get out the door in the morning, so its not easy to eat right. We run out the door with an empty stomach and run into our local coffee shop where we are tempted with the latest sugary, carb loaded, breakfast options. I have a way to help combat the urge to buy that donut....try a quick smoothie before you leave the house.
Here's my favorite one:
- 1 cup of almond, hemp or brown rice milk
- 1 scoop of Vegan Protien Powder (I use SunWarrior brand)
- 1/2 banana and 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
- 1-2 tbsp either organic flax oil or ground flaxseed
- large handful of organic spinach, kale or collards or serving of a complete greens powder like Synergy Core Greens
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- purified water as needed
This shake will help get the metabolism going so that you'll be able to get rid of the stuff you don't want and have the energy to get through the morning.
